Karen Gebbia is a children’s book author and naturalist based in California.

She believes that books help children wonder, think, understand, and feel.

Before writing for children, Karen spent two decades writing, publishing, editing, and teaching scholarly writing.

She has always been a sucker for a really great thesaurus.

Fun Fact:

As a kid, Karen spent tons of time outdoors, usually with a book, often wearing roller skates — even while climbing trees, which she did incessantly.
